Planning & Zoning Commission Action

News Relase

On July 15 the Village of Jemez Springs Planning and Zoning Commission, following a period of public input, voted to revoke the wireless telecommunications facility conditional use permit granted to Commnet in 2014. The Commnet tower located at 17816 Highway 4 (Johnson Hill Road) provides roaming services for various cellphone providers.

According to Commission minutes, Commnet violated the conditions of the permit by not submitting annual radio frequency (non-ionized electromagnetic radiation) reports and not applying for recertification of their permit prior its fifth anniversary.
