Village of Jemez Springs Awarded $2.24 Million Grant for Wastewater System Rehabilitation

JEMEZ SPRINGS – The Village of Jemez Springs has been awarded a $2,240,000 grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) to help rehabilitate the Village’s wastewater system, which includes the treatment plant and over 22,500 linear feet of collection lines.

“This investment will allow the Village of Jemez Springs [to make improvements to] wastewater infrastructure to benefit local businesses in Sandoval County,” the EDA stated.

The grant application was submitted in 2023 under then-Mayor Roger Sweet, who worked with U.S. Representative Christine Chandler to secure the required $560,000 in matching funds.
